After a 15 year IT career, Rebekkah has recently decided to make a career change, pursuing her passion for design and graphic arts. She has returned to school to learn the latest in graphic design techniques and technology. With an extensive history of marketing positions both in her earlier working years and in her personal life, the shift to graphic design is natural and intuitive. She has been creating and publishing marketing materials like signage, handbills and print advertisements since 1995 in San Diego, CA where she worked as a Publicist for a concert venue. As a musician and band leader, she coordinates monthly entertainment events, producing all marketing materials both for print and web use. The internship with The Hammer LGBT Educational Archives Project is a Llaunchpad for her new career, giving her business skills, the chance to expand and practice her design talents and establishing her as a career professional in the field of Graphic Arts and Design.
